DIESEL MECHANIC

We are a 26-year-old marine service, sales and repair company. We service a wide range of customers from small local craft through to commercial vessels, visiting super yachts and a small amount of vehicle fit outs. As the Americas Cup approaches we wish to add to our team.

We seek a qualified Diesel Mechanic with a wide range of engineering experience to join our experienced team. Someone who loves what they do and loves to learn. We offer unrivalled variety. You would be part of a passionate, motivated team of people with a strong attention to detail. 

Primarily we require a competent and confident trades person, who knows diesel engines intimately, has had diagnostic experience and is familiar with computer interface. The position will cover all marine systems from main engines/generators and pumps through to watermakers, treatment plants, piping, dive compressors, davits and cranes. The ability to do basic fabrication would be an advantage but not essential.

The successful applicant:

• Has several years' experience in Diesel engines. (it will be your main strength)
• Must be a team player.
• Is adaptable and has the ability to work unsupervised.
• Has a current full drivers licence.
• Is well-presented and an able communicator.
• Has their own hand tools.
