Constant Torque Clamp

#730

As rubber hose compresses (cold flow) after installation of clamping device, there is an almost immediate torque loss that can exceed 80% of installation torque; and virtually all metal connections expand and contract as a system heats up and then cools. Conventional worm gear, T-bolt, and other clamps cannot compensate for that expansion or contraction. The Constant Torque clamp is an “active” clamping mechanism, which compensates for the changes by changing diameter through a unique worm gear Belleville assembly.
