GMS SERVICE DEPARTMENT

Our service department offers comprehensive servicing, maintenance, refit, fabrication and design skills. Core strengths include the capability to design and build to any survey standard.

Our large team of technicians have extensive Marine Engines, Marine Systems and Marine Plumbing (fluid handling) experience across most brands, and they are specifically trained to service Cummins Onan generators, Nanni diesel engines, Scania marine engines, Hamilton Jet propulsion, Bauer dive compressors and many brands of watermakers and pumps.

Their broad engineering (marine) experience enables them to work aboard any type of vessel (large or small), and their system experience enables them to work on, repair, service and diagnose fuel, exhaust, bilge, sanitation, generation, water-making, ballast, stabiliser, hydraulic, HVAC and propulsion systems.

Since the beginning, GMS General Marine Services has worked closely, and in conjunction, with all members of IACS (International Association of Classification Societies).
